Review of Connect 2016

Connect 2016

At Holyrood's 2016 Connect annual conference, the digital transformation of Scotland's public services served as the main theme of the day.  From hearing about digital transformation in local government and bridging the skills gap, to understanding the insights and experiences from Belgium's e-government initiative, we were able to offer examples of digital transformation from across Scotland and beyond.

We were delighted to welcome our keynote speakers from within Scotland and beyond, including:

  • Dr. Jim Hamill, Director, Future Digital Leaders
  • Lorraine McMillan, Chief Executive, East Renfrewshire Council and Chair of the Scottish Local Government Digital Transformation Board
  • Emma Gillies, Head of the Digital Transformation Service, The Scottish Government
  • Murray Husband, Head of ICT and Digital Enablement, East Renfrewshire Council
  • Claudette Jones, Chief Information Officer, City of Edinburgh Council
  • Tom Meade, Digital Director, Registers of Scotland
  • Christopher Wroath, Director of Digital Transformation, NHS Education For Scotland
  • Neville Cannon, Research Director, Gartner
  • Danielle Jacobs, Managing Director, BELTUG and Chairperson of Board, INTUG International Telecommunications Users Group
